Linda Alle-Murphy concentrates her practice in the areas of creditors' rights, bankruptcy litigation and commercial litigation. She serves a varied client base in the following areas:

  • Avoidance and preference actions
  • Confessions of judgment and other litigation enforcing creditors' rights
  • State court litigation associated with bankruptcy proceedings
  • Bankruptcy adversary actions
  • Franchisor rights in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings
  • All phases of corporate bankruptcy filings and associated proceedings

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

  • Representation of a large U.S. manufacturing company in litigation involving claims arising out of the firm's Chapter 11 bankruptcy
  • Trial team member in case involving allegations of fraud against AmLaw 100 law firm and accounting firm in connection with client student loan service's insolvency
  • Represented fast food chain franchisor in connection with franchisee's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing
  • Represented home builders in matters involving bonding company obligations, confession of judgment proceedings and state court litigation
  • Defended hedge fund broker in case involving allegations of fraud, negligent misrepresentation and RICO claims in connection with management of hedge fund

Ms. Alle-Murphy has been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2011. She has also received the HIAS Pro Bono Recognition award for her representation of an asylum seeker in conjunction with HIAS attorneys. Prior to embarking on a legal career, Ms. Alle-Murphy pursued a career in music as a professional cellist, residing in Germany and performing in most European countries and the US.

Ms. Alle-Murphy is also active in the legal and public communities. She serves as team leader for investigations conducted at the behest of the Judicial Selection and Retention Commission of the Philadelphia Bar Association, used in issuing recommendations for judicial candidates and incumbent judges. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Bridge of Hope Lancaster and Chester Counties, a faith-based organization helping single mothers and their children overcome homelessness. She also remains musically active, holding the position of associate principal cellist of the Orchestral Society of Philadelphia.
