Biography:
Alan Rosen was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was graduated from Drexel University, Magna Cum Laude, with a B.S. in Mathematics and Physics. He attended graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Ph.D. Candidate in Mathematics obtaining an M.A. Equivalency in that discipline. He attended Temple University School of Law and received his J.D. in 1981, was on the Dean’s List, and placed in the top quintile of his class. At Temple, he was a member of the Barrister’s Society and was the recipient of a Law Foundation Scholarship. He began his legal career in 1981 at Fellheimer, Eichen & Goodman in Philadelphia and New Jersey (now Klehr, Harrison, Harvey, et. al.) and became a partner there in 1989. He resides in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania and has two children.

Experience:
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Rosen gained experience in the business and educational arenas. While attending Drexel University and being enrolled in its Cooperative Program, he received diverse business experience by employment in the steel industry and with the Redevelopment Authority for the City of Philadelphia. After completing his undergraduate education and prior to commencing graduate school, he was employed as a high-school mathematics and science teacher with the School District of Philadelphia. While attending graduate school at Penn, he simultaneously served as a Teaching Fellow in the Statistics and Mathematics departments and also served as an Instructor in the Wharton Business School.

After graduation from law school, Mr. Rosen began his legal career at Fellheimer and handled a wide variety of commercial matters including the representation of banks, leasing companies, finance companies, construction companies, franchisors, real estate brokerages, real estate developers, and other business, entrepreneurial, and individual clients. He obtained wide ranging trial experience in both state and federal courts in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and other forums.

During his legal career Mr. Rosen has continued to expand his field of expertise. He has been involved in litigation concerning numerous international disputes and has most recently been involved in a substantial series of construction disputes involving a large municipality. He has consistently demonstrated his ability and creativity to handle successfully virtually any complex commercial or business problem. Mr. Rosen has gained a reputation as an aggressive, creative business lawyer equipped to resolve disputes in an efficient and effective manner for the most demanding of clients.

Bar Admissions:
Mr. Rosen was admitted to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in 1981 and to the Supreme Court of New Jersey in 1982. He is also a member of the Bars of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Southern District of New York, and the District of Colorado.

Publications:
Mr. Rosen published a selection of articles in mathematics while attending the University of Pennsylvania most notably an article on permutations and combinations which appeared in a publication called The Pentagon. During law school, he published an article entitled “Law-related Applications of Video Communications Systems” appearing in the Spring, 1981 edition of The Shingle, the official publication of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
